One New Change is a major retail and office development in the heart of the City of London. Overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral, with a whopping 60 outlets including many shops and restaurants, it is the only retail destination to be found in that part of town. Built with the idea of distracting the everyday city worker away from their desks, the space really does offer more than you think from first glance.
Open seven days a week, it had over 12,000 visitors cross its floors in the first four hours of opening, all of them delighted to find such a full shopping experience on their office doorsteps.
After you’ve exhausted your shopping legs and eaten your way through the myriad of restaurants, why not visit the One New Change fantastic roof terrace. It’s open to the public seven days a week and boasts spectacular views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the London skyline.
Of course being a shopping centre, the star of the show needs to be the shops on offer. With a range of high street stores, as well as some more high-end outlets, One New Change has a wide variety to suit every shopper’s needs.
Found on the ground floor of the shopping centre, luxury menswear brand, Hackett, has opened its doors in One New Change. Launching its new store in September 2016, this British brand has made headlines in the tailoring world that no one thought it would.
Divided into three areas, Hackett’s new location keeps to its roots, leading from the casual collection of cashmeres, through a Georgian archway to the dedicated, bespoke tailoring section at the back of the store, offering its customers a unique and intimate shopping experience. It is the attention to detail throughout the shop that really sets it apart from others in the area, including abstract artwork by the late 1950/60s British artist, Brian Bow.
The front of the shop is dedicated to their Mayfair range, with soft suedes, clean structures and deluxe leathers all key characteristics of the collection. The modern man will find it hard to come away from this store without a high quality purchase.

Madison Rooftop Restaurant and Bar
Up on the eighth floor roof terrace, Madison is one of the hottest spots in the City for a drink with a view. A favourite of the City elite, this restaurant is one not to miss if you’re in the area looking for an upmarket meal in a beautiful setting. With an outside cocktail bar overlooking the London skyline and St Paul’s cathedral, this really is the place to be. But get your booking in quick, as by the end of the week on a nice evening the queue can be snaking out of the door.
At an average price of £35-£55 per person for a two-course dinner and half a bottle of wine, it’s definitely up at the higher end of anyone’s budget, but you get what you pay for as the steak and red wine on the menu offer great flavour combinations and the views are unrivalled by any other restaurant around.
