Gucci has been a staple household name in the world of fashion. Although, it lost its edginess for a period in my opinion, they are at the moment the new cool and any real fashion lover deserves something from the new revamped Gucci.
This return to coolness is solely attributed to the new creative director Alessandro Michele. His clothes and accessories draw on a freaky menagerie of ideas, from motifs of zoo animals to ‘70s inspired wallpaper patterns, in fact the whole point seems to be maximalist, go big or go home. His clothes are younger, louder, bolder, wilder and scream of excellence. It’s like a rave going on alongside a concert with free drinks and v.i.p all access.
Gucci’s clothes are not for the faint hearted or the light of wallet, but if you’ve got the swag and plenty of cash to spare, then please pile ‘em on. In my opinion and generally in the fashion world Michele is the new king of cool and deservedly so.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces, I love ‘em all, quite frankly
Gucci’s newest fashion show introduced a varied array of cartoons woven into knitwear, including Woodstock and Snoopy from the famed comic strip, Peanuts. Knitted from soft and insulating red wool, it features a bold intarsia of Mr Charlie Brown’s beagle and a tiger-print back.
Leather loafer with snake $ 750
The snake appears as one of Alessandro Michele’s signature details, infusing an eclectic and unforeseen touch to classic silhouettes. The embroidered appliqué is applied to the front of Gucci’s popular latest loafer, made in unbelievably soft leather designed to be worn with the heel folded down.
Alessandro Michele has an undeniable love for the animal world a step further with a number of styles featuring cartoon animal characters from the Peanuts. The multi-colored stripe mesh tank features a large Snoopy print on the front.
The snake emerges as one of Alessandro Michele’s signature details, adding an eclectic touch to classic silhouettes. The embroidered appliqué is applied along the collar of this polo accented with a gold embroidered bee detail, a new iconic symbol for Gucci.
