If you wondered why the yeezys were the most coveted fashion item in the last year, and you thought it was strictly due to the voice-box called Yeezus you would be mistaken. Not taking any credit away from Mr West, whose design is edgy cool and “out-worldly”, but recently sneakers have become something of an elitist commodity and rightly so.
Just like we have super cars, we live in a world where there are sneakers and there are super sneakers, the yeezys fall into the latter.
You might say what’s all this got to do with me, I’m no sneaker-head and couldn’t care less about plain sneakers talk less of the sometimes impossible to get super sneakers. I was once that way, but with the competition and rivalry taking place in the market and with the introduction of new players, anyone would be awed by the brilliance on display. This can be attributed to continued rivalry between the two power houses of “athleisure”(no names required), new innovative designs and concepts are introduced regularly. With loads of in-house, artist+designer collaborations, plus an array of options from the classic houses and introduction of new players, we the consumers are the benefactors in a war of the labels and that excites me and it should you too.
The options are limitless, the choices are never ending, and whatever your style preference or your budget, there’s a super sneaker waiting for you, even when you miss out on a coveted piece, another is sure to follow shortly after. It’s a Super sneaker shower and all you have to do is soak up the rain.
Here are some of the pieces mostly coveted and where to cop maybe two (you could always sell the extra one on eBay for double *wink-wink*)
